Escape Vint Hill is definitely one of the better Escape rooms that my husband and I have done. The house itself was used by the military during the Cold War which inspired the theme for the room. They have soda and popcorn beforehand and we were treated to fresh baked cookies afterwards. Yum! The Cold War-themed room is involved and very engaging. It could definitely be done more than once because there are different outes\ that can be taken to reach the same conclusion. I was surprised that every clue and puzzle was based off of facts that happened during the cold war era. The clues are very \intellectually based\ and you really need to pay attention to the wording of each clipboard clue. My husband and I enjoy having more Hands-On puzzles which would have made the game more fun for us (and the reason I gave it four stars instead of five.) But thus said, I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a great group date or team building activity.

The experience was fantastic. The hosts are super nice, attentive and engaging. We were received with popcorn and had a change to tour the house while waiting for the room. They have a bar and you can take your drinks and snacks inside the escape room. The room calls for 14 people and we thought it bight be too many. but it is not. It was 10 of us and we barely managed to escape. They said there is only 10% success rate and we can see why. There are a lot of puzzles that need to be solved in parallel. and they demand good coordination and several sub-teams working in parallel. There are some map puzzles, some numeric puzzles, and some word playing. I wont give much away, just know we had a blast. I been to Sterling and Alexandria rooms. I like this one a lot more because of the atmosphere, the historical references and the fantastic hosts. There is not as much high tech involved in this room but the adventure was engaging and entertaining. The location is beautiful and with a lot of history and the room design is shaped around this concept. At the end of the experience they congratulate us with freshly baked cookies; a very lovely detail. Highly recommended, make sure you bring a large group and have good communication and coordination. It is very easy to get lots given the large number of puzzles to solve the room.
Incredible company night out at Vint Hill. Superb hospitality- we had catered food for our group of 14, the bar to ourselves (lucky us, no one else had booked the room for the night!) and were even surprised by freshly baked cookies as we exited the Escape Room. The Escape Room itself was challenging and exciting, especially because the theme was relevant to the site itself. Reddick and Sons thanks the staff at Vint Hill, especially Rob! He was welcoming, accommodating, and a just a lovely person to be hosting us. We will be back!
Went here as part of a work team building event. The hosts were very nice and had fresh popped popcorn while we waiting for our entire party to get there. They told the history of the house and how it was used by JFK during the Cuban missile crisis. The also have a bar to get a drink while you wait and if you don't finish, you can take it in the room with you. As for the room itself, it was a decent size and accommodated our party of 12 people without any issue. I would definitely recommend going with a larger party as there are a lot of different puzzles to be solved and can be a bit overwhelming. The puzzles were engaging and utilized everything in the room. Our team didn't get out, but we were told we got pretty close which was pretty good since 10 of the 12 people have never done an escape room before. After we didn't escape we were given fresh baked cookies which helped ease the pain of not being about to get out. The only issue I had is that the place itself is hard to find. It's also located right next to Old Bust Head to be able to get a beer to celebrate (or in our case, drown our sorrows).
Great fun! The people at Vint Hill were very hospitable and knowledgeable about the history of the grounds. The escape room was based on the history of the grounds. It was a memorable experience!
