After an intensely hot hike in July 2020 from Corniglia to Vernazza, we stopped for a rest and lunch at Bar la Torre. The view is incredible as we didn’t want to leave. Local, cold & crisp DOC white wine along with an excellent seafood spaghetti, octopus with potatoes & tomato and a ragu tagliatelle. All dishes were high quality, well prepared & reasonably priced for the region. The staff was friendly and non invasive. I highly recommend a stop at Bar La Torre, I can imagine that a sunset dinner would be breathtaking.

The pesto pasta was amazing, the view was spectacular, and Luca was the best waiter we had in all of Europe. Spent two weeks in France and Italy and ate at several Michelin rated restaurants. Our stop at La Torre was our most memorable and enjoyable meal at a fraction of the price we paid elsewhere. Can't recommend this place enough. Luca treated us like family.
A restaurant with superb views and great food. Given the reduced visitor numbers caused by covid we were lucky enough to just walk in and get a table for lunch. Be warned that you will be in direct sunlight save a few seats under a lattice. There may be umbrellas if the wind allows but given the restaurant's position I doubt you can count on it. The menu was what you would expect, seafood and Italian classics, all fresh and beautifully presented. We had tagliolini with prawn and courgette, spaghetti with mussels, mixed salad, tiramisu, panna cotte, glass of red wine, a pina colada and two coffees for 75. I would have been willing to pay more for the experience.
One of the best dining experiences I had in northern Italy. The views of Vernazza are unbeatable - definitely try to make it for sunset (and call ahead). Pretty much all the tables are on the terrace so you'll get an incredible view either way, but I recommend requesting against the rail, as it's the closest you'll get to the water. The hike up is pretty rough so prepare for that, but it weeds out a lot of the crowd and it's definitely worth it. The service is laid back and not the fastest but is very friendly and youthful. We had the octopus and the lobster pasta. The octopus was fresh, lemony and tasty, but the lobster pasta was a game changer. On the expensive side but the flavors were just incredible. One of the few occasions where I wanted to lick the plate. We love heavy California reds and the standout was the Liguria di Levante. A heavy local and spicy red with lots of flavor and character. We loved it. Overall, can't say enough, it was an awesome choice for dinner.
Locates on a hill that requires 10-15 min climbing the scales, but the amazing view was worthy. Would be better to add some lights on the way if you need to leave in the dark since there will be no light at all. Food was good, trofie al pesto was nice. Ideal for couples having romantic dinner
The most stunning view in Vernazza, definitely book to watch the sun go down. The anchovies three ways was some of the best anchovies we have had in the Cinque Terre. Staff were super lovely. Seafood pasta was delicious, the only slight downside was my friend found the prawn and courgette pasta “underwhelming” but would still say it’s a must!
We had a really lovely evening meal here during sunset along with some really stunning views. Staff were very polite and our food was excellent too. I'd recommend getting a reservation in advance (just speak to any of the waiters during the day) so you can bag a decent slot over sunset. Just be aware of two things: they are closed if it's raining....and it's a fair old vertical trek up from Vernazza to get there!
Beautiful views. However, we came at the beginning of the season and most of the food on the menu was not available - nobody told us that we could only chose from few dishes. I first ordered grilled vegetables which was not available, then we ordered grilled beef steak which was not available neither and chilled coffee which was not possible to order because they did not have any ice. We finally ordered spaghetti pomodoro and spaghetti with sea food which was lovely. The sea food was fresh and quantity was sufficient. Once again, the views are beautiful. Be aware that service can be very slow
