It's so beautiful and peaceful here! It's such a shame that the first burnt most of the forest.

I always enjoy in the Tonto national Forest in Arizona. The tonto national Forest includes desert and pine Forest and mountains with forests. It has many different plant zones. The forest has many different camp places. Lots of lakes rivers, creeks, streams. It is quiet sometimes and sometimes it's busy depends on where you go. It's much cooler up in the northern part of the Tonto national Forest. It is cool and peaceful on top of the rim and the Tonto national Forest. Wood recommend this force to anybody who likes nature, camping and taking pictures of wildlife.

My favorite place to go for dark skies. The amount of stars you see is incredible. Milky Way is easily visible from March-October. Views are incredible in both day and night tho.

went to check some ancient Verde Hohokam ruins on top of a mountain in TNF that has over 90 rooms, that was occupied from 1100-1300 AD. A fire in the area exposed all the ruins recently and I was blown away by all the rooms and pottery shards. Tremendous views they had from their mountaintop fortress and one could almost hear all the activity that it would have had back in the day. I will be back to explore more! Be extremely respectful of Arizonas historic treasures, leave no trace & take nothing, not even a pottery shard.

Tonto National Forest is great place for hiking, mountain biking, and viewing the desert plants up close. We always like to take the kids there at night. We drive through with blacklight flashlights to view scorpions. A great time is had by all.
