Amazing food and a completely sympathetic re vamp of the building to keep it line with its age. Very friendly staff and a one way system inpalce. Definitely going again.

I had a lovely meal at the newly opened Swan at Forton. The food was lovely and the surroundings were comfortable and well managed. The staff were ever so helpful and I would eat here again as a treat. My only feedback was to do special offer nights as it's rather expensive compared to some places that do 2 course Sunday lunches for a pound more than your one. Overall very happy and would recommend.
What a brilliant evening. Service and welcome were of the highest order. My Wife is a veggie and we are quite used to being fobbed off at various local establishments. However here not a bit of it. There was a full vegan menu and other veggie options were available on the main menu. She went for the banana blossom fish & chips! What a revelation!!!!! My full carnivore option was also brilliant. As I said previously The service was attentive and of the highest order ......what a lovely night out.
Excellent service, great selection of beer and wine, had a light lunch menu, good value great taste, and served with a smile. We have been visiting the Swan for over thirty years, and quite often stop in for a coffee or a drink on our walking route and always welcomed. New management and staff are very friendly, and observe every aspect of covid safety
Lovely hotel-pub set in a beautiful countryside. Very nice decor, excellent service, and tasty carvery. On the pricing side, thumbs up once again: roast of the day selection of veggies pint of beer espresso coffee at 12.00. Recommended!
It was very nice and friendly the food was lovely but it was a shame it wasn't presented very nicely, we had hunters chicken it was very tasty, no salad or vegetable. I had mash, just mash and chicken with sweetcorn. If you had Sunday dinner there was all sorts of vegetables, I think it's a shame as they were very friendly people. If I go back I will have Sunday dinner better value.
Fabulous meals but they need to realise that there is a difference between "little ones" and adult portions that still need to be catered for My 10 year old was given 2 goujons and 7 chips for a meal. Not a problem to ask for extra chips according to the waitress. Had to purchase them though. Nice food. Dissatisfied with customer care.
Really enjoyable visit, will be back very soon to try more off the menu! Great service, felt very safe with covid restrictions etc, great choice of beer, great food. Joules have worked their magic again!
