Shades of Soho to the rescue not once, but twice! I bought two bedside lamps from Morocco that needed to be refitted for use with normal-sized bulbs we use in the US. Thanks to the quick and great work by Bryan and his team they are now sitting next to our bed as a reminder of our awesome trip. Shades of Soho also recently came over for a house call to fix a big floor lamp with several bulb fixtures that had gone loose. Small or large project, Bryan is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to doing so more in the future!

This is a long overdue review that I should have written a year ago but I was so upset by my experience here that I couldn't even think about it for a while! To make a VERY long story short- I dropped a lamp off to have a switch replaced. When I went to pick up the lamp 2 weeks later it was wrapped in bubble wrap. Keeping it in the bubble wrap, the owner, Bryan, plugged it in for me, showed me that the switch was working and I took the lamp and left. Upon returning home I put the lamp on the counter and removed the bubble wrap to find a giant crack running from the top of the lamp to the bottom. AND it was sloppily GLUED TOGETHER!!! I immediately called the store and could not believe my ears when he claimed the lamp wasn't broken in his store! I literally had the lamp in my possession for the 7 minuets it took me to drive from his store to my home. We went back and forth for weeks and eventually I had to take him to small claims court. Here is where I should mention that the lamp cost 750 and Bryan offered to reimburse me but wouldn't give me that much, saying it was a \cheap\ lamp that looked like it was picked up at Home Goods. I have to receipt from the purchase to prove that it was indeed 750. So not only did he break my lamp but he was rude and insulting. Two days before the court hearing we had a death in the family and going to court was not possible. So in the end, he didn't pay me a dime. Didn't even reimburse me for the 50 he charged to fix the switch. I have NEVER experienced such an awful customer service situation and my only reason for writing this (because it is making me so upset even remembering this whole awful situation) is to warn anyone who is considering going here to STAY AWAY! There are a lot of wonderful, reputable lamp companies in the area- do yourself a favor and take your service there!
I needed to repair an old lamp and could not find the parts. I brought it to Shades of Soho after chatting briefly with Bryan, the owner, on the phone. Bryan was amazing. He knew exactly which parts were needed, pulled them out of a bin and fixed the lamp in a few minutes. Great customer service with a smile. If you have an issue with your lighting, take it into Shades of Soho. They are the best!
Brian was great! Showed up on time, worked in my home in a very neat and professional manner, took his time and everything came out beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
Friendly, knowledgeable and they have beautiful lamps, custom shades, and embellishments. They converted a candle chandelier into a hardwired chandelier we absolutely love it!!! We will be going back
