I came here for detox. The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is fun. The food is INCREDIBLE and not just for a detox center. I spent 5 days here and wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks to the staff and doctors I had an enjoyable time detoxing.

This is not a mental health hospital it’s a pill farm. Like a cross between Girl Interrupted and One Flew Over the CooCoo’s Nest. I checked myself in took a Lyft to that hospital. I should have only been in there 3 days. By day 4 (yesterday) I was pondering why I hadn’t been let outside for 72 hours (our whole ward, had permission to leave for the cafeteria they told me I was getting outside), 3 min outside to feed me in total daily is not healthy. The food was fried, unhealthy, what part of health is it when you feed patients junk and call this a mental health care facility. They supposedly they had a library I’m sorry “Danielle Steele isn’t a writer”. I slept most of the day yesterday because if I watched TV (that was our therapy) I was going to go more insane. Oh then the pdoc who only just met me wanted to put me on drugs for epileptics oh no to that valporic acid bs. Seemed like the whole unit was on seroquel bunch of patients all zombiefied. Inept trained staff and TV was the therapy. Checked myself out “against the doctor” I just met who doesn’t know my history. She threatened to keep me there for another 24 hours per the state law. Luckily I got my actual pdoc meeting afterwards drove myself there and he shook his head and agreed that I shouldn’t be on that epileptic drug. Oh and now I got a 3k bill for this bs didn’t do anything but piss me off and I won’t go back if I ever have a mental breakdown to a mental hospital. Pill farm bs.

Any mental hospital is going to get a lot of 1-star reviews. People hope for miracles but rarely get them in mental health. Go in for skin cancer on your forehead and there's a 99% chance you'll leave, cured, in an hour. Go in with schizoaffective disorder and you'll probably leave still having it, possibly with a slightly better treatment plan. My adult son has stayed in four private mental hospitals and one state hospital. This was the best by a wide margin. The nurse asked many intelligent questions, clearly aimed at finding the best long-term treatment for my son's problems. Many hospitals basically give you one big sedative and tell you to go away. This was my son's shortest stay (eight days) by a wide margin but he left in the best shape I've seen him in years. They immediately put him on a modern antipsychotic that has an injectable form. If you're a family member of someone with compliance issues, this is a great place to take someone. They really listened to me as a family member, and I assume they'd listen to you as well.

This place looks really nice but they are awful. My daughter went in to get off of her medications and they barely took her off ANY except her sleep medications. She had been awake for 8 days and was unable to talk to her doctor for over 4. They abuse their patients and absolutely do not care about their welfare. She has been stuck inside for 4 days as well. Then when she asks for help they say talk to your nurse but the nurses are never anywhere to be found! Ever! All she is forced to do is color! They are abusing her worse than she had been before. She went there for help and now she will come out worse! DONT GO HERE! THEY WILL MAKE YOU WORSE THAN YOU WERE BEFORE!!!! ZERO STARS!
