Great walk for kids and adults. Parking was a little expensive.

One of our favourite places! Great facilities, brilliant playground, nice Covid safe cafe with ice-cream and nice coffee and a wide range of walks in a beautiful forest
I love Salcey. The bike tracks are well maintained and the forest is just beautiful. The car parks are well organised and the kiosk is well stocked if you need refreshment. When the suns out it’s like being on holiday with the trails and lofty trees. For the little ones there’s gruffalo and zog trails too. Seen archery classes and there’s a smashing little wooden house but where kiddies love to play. For dog owners it’s a ‘stick n flick’ which is a shame as there’s always a lot of dog mess at the side of the walking paths so if you have children they’ll likely need their wellies hosing down and if you have dogs and prefer to ‘bag’ it then be prepared to carry it all the way round your chosen route and then take it home with you
Nice to be with nature
Had an absolutely amazing day out. We did the long 6 mile walk which was lovely but unfortunately we didnt catch a glimpse of any deers or woodpeckers! Mostly flat not many hills etc, varied terrain. Car park on site paying, or few free spots on roadside if lucky! Theres a cafe and public toilets and a picnic area and a few childrens play areas.
An amazing setting
Great place for refreshing walk.
It was okay, I went to cycle round but not that clear, better when its quieter
