[I now find from their response below that there masks were not even mandatory outside when we visited despite signs everywhere saying they were. Masks were of adequate, but not good quality (poor stitching) though they were locally produced. A disposable mask (as offered by the café) would have been fine since we have plenty of masks, just not with us]. Walked to Saint-Cirq-LaPopie to find that we had to wear a mask even outside. Most people were wearing, but there was no sign of enforcement. We did not have ours (no signs at Bouziès where we and many others walked from not on the Lot tourism website where we looked upon the walk), but we tried to respect this by asking at the tourist office where we could buy some. They were happy to sell us some. I'm not surprised as they have a tidy little racket going on profiteering from the pandemic. Euros 3 each. At the cafe across the square they are charging 0.90 so try there. On the plus side, the woman serving was very helpful and I'm sure this policy is not her fault. The office is a bit of a sore thumb in the village as it has modern grey metal windows etc. I wonder what would happen if anyone else there tried to get planning permission for this :-)

Modern building that looks like it has only just been finished. Helpful staff, many leaflets etc available. Also mugs, t-shirts and other touristy items for sale. Toilets in a separate building behind the tourist information office, but you have to pay.

Really pretty little town with some lovely shops, great cafes and amazing views. Leave your car at the bottom and walk up to the top. Can be verfy busy in Summer though so try to come off season.
