This church is incredible old and precious. It is not part of the forum romanum and by that you to have to pay no entrance fee although it is a direct neighbour. If you are tired of all these tourists at the colosseum just enter paradise here...

Built in 10th century occupying part of Venus felix and Roma Aeterna temple founded in 135 by the emperor Hadrian. Entering here is walking into the past, from the view on nearby arch of Titus and Palatine Hill, to the various enchanting art treasures it hosts.

A hidden Basilica tucked in right beside the Foro Romano. Free to enter. Very peaceful. The ceiling and the incredibly ornate mosaic at the back of the church are worth seeing.
