The gentleman who owns the shop is extremely helpful and patient. I required assistance with my camera having mislaid the user manual, he walked me through changing the settings and refused my offer of payment. Old fashioned service at it's best!

I used their film development services. I was pleased to find somewhere local that still develops film, and like to support local businesses. They were able to develop and scan my 35 and 120 film BUT the first thing I was very disappointed with was the 120 scans - the flatbed scanner (I believe) they used must have been very dusty and certainly not cleaned as my scans were ruined with dust and fluff marks - fortunately these weren't for a client! The other problem, which is HUGE and needs resolving IMMEDIATELY is their timekeeping. It is disrespectful of the customer's own time for the owner(s) to believe that they do not need to open on time every day, often not showing up until at least an hour and a half after opening hour, then on 2 occasions I've hovered around the shop for up to 2 hours waiting for them to finish off my work, late. Its a great shame but until this is resolved I won't be using them.

The Fawlty Towers of Photo Printing. It took me four visits over four days to finally get a small number of photos printed and cut out to look like Instax photos. In two of these visits, I attended at a mutually agreed time to collect the photos, only to be told that they'd not been done. They'd had my email address and phone number from the beginning but hadn't bothered to let me know to avoid a wasted trip. Other highlights included being hoovered around for at least 5 minutes before being served, two of the staff arguing between each other over a cup of coffee, and one of the staff moaning about how he was too ill to print my photos, yet well enough to attend a party that evening. After all this, I ended up with photos which had been cut out by hand so poorly that black lines were still showing around the edges of about a third of them. One or two had been spaced wrong so had to be thrown out completely. The staff member I spoke to at the end had seemed nice enough but was ultimately sulky and unapologetic, more interested in telling me how labour intensive the job was than in restoring any kind of faith in his business. If you have a few days to waste, a good sense of humour and aren't fussed about poor quality photos, you might just enjoy the absurdity of the whole experience.
