One of the best experiences we've had so far! The staff were super polite and friendly and we were offered with refreshments upon our arrival. Transport to get here was a bit tricky though. The massage is a must try! I even fell asleep multiple times. They even give you a set of kimono to sleep in. The hot springs were fantastic and I booked for a private one so we could enjoy ourselves in peace. The food was the highlight of our stay (but to be honest, everything here was fantastic!) We had dinner and breakfast as part of our package(see the photos for mouth-watering images!) When we mentioned that we were there for our honeymoon, they even gave us a cute matching pair of chopsticks as a gift to celebrate. We will be coming back!

Wonderful place to stay after tiring yourself out in Kyoto! Beautiful view of the lake, splendid hot spring public bath and the food was simply marvellous, a full Kaiseki dinner with lots of small seasonal dishes and an elaborate Japanese breakfast. Of course, everyone was outstandingly hospitable and friendly and the room was very comfortable, nicely quiet and had all amenities you could think of including a little private open air bathtub with lake view! It is not cheap, but you very certainly get your money's worth.

Super excellent onsen restaurant. Staff was very friendly and well trained. They speak taiwanese Mandarin well as well as English. I reserved one day plan with omni beef. 6000 yen per person. You have private room japanese style lunch and enjoy onsen. Onsen was above average but not exceed my expectations. Overall, I love it and will try to go back again. If you think my review is useful, please give me a like.

Pleasant experience. Delicious Kaiseki Dinner with Ohmi Beef, and a great breakfast. A number of the staff speaks English. The 11am check-out time is a plus point as compared to many other ryokan.

Absolutely amazing! They pick you up (and drop you off) at the train station and are so friendly during your entire stay. They have a private onsen you can rent (about 27 usd for 50 min) and the dinner and breakfast are delicious! It was a great experience

Beautiful during cherry blossom season. Heavenly onsen. Dinner was a symphony of flavors, crescendos and decrescendos. An introspective cafe with delicious coffee.

The onsen waters might not be the best I've had (Okuhida, Kinosaki, Arima are better/stronger) but the service I've received it was easily the best, I was honestly impressed. They picked me up at the JR station, everybody from the cleaners to the reception, bar and restaurant staff were smiling and super nice. The soba in the restaurant were tasty (I'm a fan), the yuzu at the bar fantastic after soaking and sweating in the onsen (and the view from the bar is lovely). As for the onsen, the shower cubicles and the accessories provided were among the very best I've had. Private onsen is very nice, pity it doesn't have a view. Nice rotenburo at the men public onsen, even if a bit small and with no view. All this at barely 30 mins from Kyoto! I'll be back for sure, no question.
