RECEPTIONIST NEED TRAINING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE/ COMPASSION. I've just had one of the rudest experiences whilst trying to be added to their wait list. I have broken a tooth and In alot pain, I realise that I needed to call 111 as I'm not currently registered. I have luckily been given an emergency appointment but was advised I needed to call my local practice to be put on the wait list incase further general treatment is needed. I called and spoke to a very abrupt and woman, she insisted there was no wait list for NHS patients and I won't find one anywhere. (I was fairly embarrased to admit) but I explained I am exempt for dental costs and asked just to clarify that this meant I still needed to sign on as NHS. She ignored this comment and then pushed for me to sign up to their chargeable service, I explained that unfortunately I have fallen on very hard times atm as both me and my partner have lost our fulltime jobs due to covid and have been advised that I can still receive dental treatment if needed. Her responce was 'well if you want dental treatment that bad you will pay for it' My reason for the call was purely to query if I can be added to an NHS wait list and embarrassingly to ask if this is something I am still entitled to. Instead I'm made to feel so small and ashamed for even calling, whilst I'm here in pain going through a very rough time. I'm not one to review, but I hope the person I spoke to reads this and takes a little more time next time they are on the phone to realise not everyone is lucky enough to still be employed. Alot of people are really struggling at the moment and being made to feel like that when your just enquiring about a wait list can have a huge impact on someone.

Now have a policy of leaving patients outside exposed to the elements until they are ready to let them in even when it is raining, which they think is acceptable in the middle of winter in a pandemic, will seriously have to consider my involvement with this practice, will certainly be talking to environmental health about them and the local press

I am autistic and the people here are rude, and don't listen. I now have panic attacks just thinking about needing treatment. Also everyone I mention this place to has a horror story of poor treatment, it appears that the dentists here are all newly qualified and have no idea how to treat paitents as people.

I have been going to this dentist practice for many years - I have always seen Gaetano and he has always given me professional advice and a skilled service. I am 52 years old now and I can honestly say I have not had better service elsewhere. I trust him implicitly. He also manages to get the most amazing, caring and positive dental assistants who really do care how you are feeling when in that dreaded chair! No one likes going to the dentist so sometimes even a minor issue can occur and it can seem like a world end catastrophe, because we are already tense so every negative is exaggerated! I would not go elsewhere. Just sayin’

Amazing staff, very friendly nothing was too much trouble. The patient care I received was brilliant , clinical standards are extremely high , Dr Fundaro is superb and I would highly recommend this practice.
