Let me preface by saying it’s good, but very...traditional. Think servers in kimono kneeling to open the door for you, formal place settings, challenging ingredients like shark fin. Good, but not really an atmosphere I find possible to relax in. Expect seasonal cuisine, with complementary dishes and floral touches, a range of drinks, and some occasionally (as described above) difficult dishes.

Great kaiseki cuisine in Tokyo. While the main branch is in Kyoto, this one is as good as the original one. Be prepared to eat your heart out.

It’s my first experience at a michillan star restaurant and the experience is just phenomenal. This 2 michillan star restaurant serves set menus with a lot of food and extremely creative combinations. I couldn’t imagine eating strawberry sorbet with wasabi, but it was out of this world. Most of the dishes are great and some are actually out of the world. Reserve a table as it gets crowded.
