The pediatric ICU team is second to none. Nurses were very attentive to my daughter and even played with my son to help keep the stress levels down. Child life is phenomenal always checking numerous times daily to see if we needed anything for the kids. Doctor's always kept us informed and let us sit in on shift changes so we knew what to expect.

They did not read any of the paperwork I physically handed to them. Then later on, AFTER my daughter’s (2 months old at the time) surgery- they were surprised about information I was telling them and told me they “never received the paperwork” from the doctor office that referred us to them. I handed it to them and it was faxed over. There were so many different doctors in and out. I understand it is a teaching hospital but it seemed like none of them had the same information. Ultimately it was a misdiagnosis between our office in Wis. Rapids and Marshfield. Marshfield doctors couldn’t bother to read any of the paperwork before doing an unnecessary surgery & also accidentally cutting my baby’s small intestine. The surgeon was not very comforting when he told me that wasn’t what was wrong with my daughter- AFTER he did the surgery. We had one good night nurse. The other’s couldn’t be bothered. I gave a 2 instead of a 1 because the child life volunteers were great.

From the onset they wanted to believe my granddaughter had PTSD. They weren't listening to what me or my granddaughter was saying. I researched side effects for a medication she was on and they all match what is happening to her. As her legal guardian, I told them to hold the medicine but they gave it anyway. Then I found out they lied to me when they told me that after a week of taking 20mg of Fluoxetine that you cannot stop it abruptly. So I called pharmacists and other medical professionals and was told that Fluoxetine could be stopped abruptly.
