Very interesting building from the XII century. The interior is interesting to see and especially when you can listen to the explanations of the guide. She was very helpful and keen to answer all our questions. Without a doubt, we can only recommend to visit this small church.

A beautiful little stave church. Unfortunately we arrived too early to go inside (opens at 10:00) but it is located in a beautiful place. (Everywhere in Norway is beautiful though) There is a little gravel parking lot to the right of the building and graveyard. The oldest gravestone was from the middle of the 17th century.
It is although a very beautiful stave church. Coming the way from Lærdalsøyri you have to take the ferry across the fjord. Kaupanger stave church is located on the north bank of Sognefjord. It is a quit large one.
Majestic! You have to pay a few kr to get inside.
A fascinating church in the middle of this little town, where there is no place for eating. Entrance costs 7 maybe expensive for one church, but It Is very beautiful, after that we suggest walking to Amla and if you need ti buy something catch a bus to Sogndal.
Beautiful! We didn't go inside this one but it was lovely to look at.
It is a nice stave church with a nice fjord view
Style of church unique to Norway, picturesque!
