A really good place to bike through or walk around.

It's a dam. What do you expect? There are plenty of roads you can take for a hike. Every couple of kilometers you'll find somewhere to stay and eat. The dam has a nice few onto the Apls in the distance.

Toller abwechslungsreicher Weg um den Stausee. 11 km in so 2,5 Stunden. Wir haben den Weg im Uhrzeigersinn gemacht. An der Staustufe Kaufering grosser Parkplatz. Keine Einkehrmöglichkeit.
