We initially hired Ted to consult on a drainage issue that we had no idea where to start on. After reading lots of contradictory information online and feeling more confused he came and showed us exactly what to do, why to do it, and answered all questions we had. Ted even provided us with a list of all the specific materials and tools we would need to do the job ourselves. He had a wealth of other information about landscaping in general that was well worth him coming out. After doing the project there is no more water infiltration into the garage. Ted's confidence in our ability to do the work ourselves made us eager to start and we knew if we came across a problem we now had access to a professional who could offer a solution. After being so impressed with that project, we hired TJB to replace a broken and sunken walkway. We first visited their outdoor showroom and picked out the style that would work best for our property. The work was done incredibly well, the crew was very professional, and issues that came up (not unexpected with digging up a 40 year old walkway) were discussed, we collectively came up with a way forward. We would highly recommend TJB and Ted for any landscaping projects, especially with drainage or hardscapes.

We are new CT homeowners, transplanted from an urban area, and reached out to Ted for consulting services to learn about how we could mitigate a drainage issue affecting parts of our yard. Not only did Ted provide an education about the issue itself, but he explained how we could handle it ourselves by building a drain on the property. He also offered a wealth of information about all aspects of maintaining our yard--from caring for plants to addressing moss growing on a synthetic grass part of our property. As new homeowners without much knowledge of lawn maintenance, the information Ted provided is empowering us to know how to maintain our property for years to come. Only word of advice when hiring Ted for consulting services is to have a notebook handy. He will explain so much that you may have a hard time remembering it all.
