Fantastic day out at Lone Pine. Have not been since I was a kid and so glad we chose to come visit. Ample parking and even a charging station for scooters. A very decent array of Australian wildlife. The cafe is obviously going to be expensive so that was no surprise. Staff were friendly enough to answer questions on the animals and I couldn’t resist getting a photo taken with a koala. All in all, a really good day out.

Lovely experience with all these unusual animals! Don't miss it if you are in the area! Enjoy it to the MAX!
Will always love this cute little koala sanctuary. You can tell every single animal is well looked after. Easy to get around and all staff are very friendly. You can even pack your own food and drink (non alcoholic) to bring. You can also feed the kangaroos and emus freely. Highly recommend for families- especially with children.
Wonderful place to take the kids and see some of Australia's best wildlife. We we're fortunate to see a momma koala and her joey. The birds of prey show is something not to miss either.
This place is really cute and is one of the few places that allows you to hold a koala. And they really limit the number of people that can hold koalas to prevent koalas from getting stressed. At the time that we went there was no option to purchase koala holding tickets online, so by the time we arrived at the park they were all sold out. The staff were nice enough to make a small exception for us since we traveled over 24 hours to get there. It would’ve been great if we could just check ticket availability online so we can plan our days accordingly. But until online tickets are available and you’re interested in holding a koala it is best to arrive as soon as the park opens and go straight to the photo ticket booth which is not the front gate but inside the park. As a last resort, if there are really no koala hold spots available, they have these other photo sessions frequently throughout the day where a staff holds the koala and you can still pose with it. The hold is very simple you just use your hands to provide a platform for the koala to sit on and the caregiver will set the koala on your hands and the koala will just naturally hold on to your shoulders. In addition to koalas, there were also kangaroos on site that were just chilling out and that you could feed. We watched a sheep herding demonstration by a very impressive collie and got to pet the sheep where most of the worlds wool comes from. We also watched a predator birds demonstration.
Wonderful place for all the family. You can experience and native animals up close and personal. Be amazed by the agility and cleverness of the working sheep dogs. Cuddle a koala and feed the kangaroos. Learn about our native animals.
What a fantastic Sancturary! We are annual pass holders and love coming for the morning with our toddler. Meeting friends is always so easy here too, the car park and out front is all shaded and has seating etc. Also, an amazing view of the river. Such a great Aussie zoo with iconic animals every kid should learn about. The facilities are well kept, including the animals. The keepers are genuinely interested in sharing knowledge to the public. They allow you to bring in your own lunch and snacks which is perfect with little fussy eaters and keeps prices down for families on a budget. So many little spots you can sit down and eat with the family. One dining area even has a koala viewing area. It's so lovely. All the staff are always so lovely and engaging if you ever have a question or need help. A great Brissy attraction for locals and visitors. Love Lone Pine!
I came here a few months ago with my 6 month old. The whole family loved it. The birds at the start were a nice beginning, then moving towards the kangaroo feeding area which was an amazing experience for him. The kangaroos and wallabies were calm and interactive. The bird show was great the ladies who ran it were really kind and interactive with bub. Had a great day there.
