Without Breathe Therapies i wouldnt be here. cliche as it sounds! But they give me the chance to not only start talking about all I have been through and trust!... but helped me get out of situations I was in for all my life.. thanks to Breathe I was able to slowly find myself again . Breathe gave me the courage and confidence to trust and also put me in touch with services that have changed my life completely. They took me from rock bottom and shown me there is a life beyond . When i fist started with breathe I have to admit I wasn’t very committed with treatment. After every other treatment iv tried hasn’t done anything other than resent treatment more than ever! Iv had an eating disorder for at least 27 years and hospitals have always diagnosed me as severe and enduring with no hope of fully getting , well If they wrote me off then I couldn’t see the point of trying to get well. That’s not so with breathe I was able to get the correct diagnosis for my mental and physical health iv worked with breathe now for 4years and I can’t say it’s been easy in fact it’s the hardest thing iv ever had to do but I actually want to engage in therapy it’s not sunshine and rainbows it’s painful trying to unpick my past, is it worth it? I (don’t know) but I’m finally committed. Shelley has never given up on me she believes in me,has hope for me when I have very little.iv an awful long way to go but I’m definitely not where I was. I trust that my journey will be worth it no matter how painful it feels right now!
Their \experienced and highly qualified\ therapist was 22 years old! My daughter enjoyed the sessions because they were gentle and fun. We needed help desperately and did not find it here.
I was in a very dark place when I discovered Breath Therapies team and with their help and guidance they helped me find myself and put back the purpose and direction in my life which I had lost due to issues that I need help and support to sort out. They are very professional and have someone to help you what ever your issues are. There are times in our life that we need help and someone to talk with, I am so glad that I discovered Breathe.
We were lucky enough to find Shelley and the team at Breathe Therapies a couple of years after our daughter became ill with anorexia. The dedicated team at Breathe provided her with a treatment plan that included regular meetings with a dietician, art therapy, hypnotherapy, supported cooking, supported eating and therapy sessions, all suited to her needs. The support and treatment she received at Breathe was excellent and the support we were given as a family was also outstanding. We will never forget one of the first meetings our daughter had with Shelley when Shelley said to her \You can recover.\ This gave her the hope and belief she so desperately needed, we all so desperately needed. The team at Breathe Therapies never gave up on our daughter's recovery, even in the most difficult of times, and for that we will always be grateful. Gary and Sarah Munley.
Fantastic advice every step of the way in relation to my daughters eating disorder. Shelley and Helen have worked tirelessly to eradicate this horrible disorder. We wouldn’t have got there without you and we are eternally grateful .
