The vastness of this park makes it an ideal place for biking. The park is well-designed and pays tribute to the 80,000 soviet soldiers who died in the battle of Berlin. The Soviet War Memorial was built in 1949. The Berlin TV Tower can be seen from the park. The monuments and statues are beautifully made and they’re well worth a visit.

Very well put together war memorial. A good reminder of the russian sacrifices during the war as well.
Was an ok autumn walk and nice to see the memorial sites. It is close to the riverside were many food like huts are close to the river side and you can enjoy while you walk beside the river bank, also many boat rides to choose from here.
Well kept memorial on a grand scale. Easy walk through the park from the train station and a pleasant walk back along the river bank with lots of local snack bars too.
A truly exceptional monument. It will exceed your expectations. The scale of it alone is incredibly impressive. Peaceful and reverent for the most part. Like all public monuments, some people forget where they are and are not completely appropriate, but for the most part it's quite quiet and peaceful.
